Behind the Camera
|
Photographer, Dave Darby, has been a resident of Wickenburg, AZ since 1975. My photography career started in 1977 after studying business and photography at Arizona State University. For 10 years our business focus concerned all photographic aspects of horse racing, including the photo finish and videotape patrol and winners circle photos. Western Trails Photo began in 1987 in the garage with a mobile photo-lab. The primary business was shooting horseback rides, up to nine a year, including Wickenburg's Desert Caballeros ride, and portrait photography for Bashas' food stores. 1994 marked the start of our portrait studio and camera store that included a 1-Hour photo-finishing lab. Now strictly a commercial photographer, we concentrate on school, sports, portrait and commercial and convention style photography plus four horseback rides in Arizona, California, and New Mexico. Western Trails Photo offers photo restoration, digital printing, brochures, commercial and portrait photography. With digital technology at the forefront in the photo industry, all of our work is done with digital cameras and computers.
